About Studio D
Studio D is a glass art studio based in the UK, creating handcrafted stained, fused, and foiled glass pieces. Each design blends traditional techniques with contemporary creativity, resulting in work that is both timeless and unique.
Fused Glass
Each piece begins with hand-cut glass, carefully arranged and kiln-fired to fuse colour, texture, and form. It is then shaped over moulds in a second firing to create unique bowls, platters, and decorative pieces.
Stained Glass
Traditional stained glass has been part of UK architecture for over 1,300 years, with each era reflecting its own distinctive style. At Studio D, we restore, design, and create bespoke stained glass for homes, gardens, and double glazing, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design to bring colour, light, and longevity to every piece.
Tiffany Glass
Tiffany-style glass uses fine copper foil to join individually cut pieces of stained glass, which are then soldered to create detailed, delicate designs. This lighter, more refined technique is ideal for sun catchers, lampshades, seasonal decorations, and intricate decorative art pieces.
